Some people prefer silicone-based lube. Silicone based lubricants are different from the water-based variety because they don’t absorb into your skin. Instead, they stay on the surface of the skin and this provides a durable glide. You probably won’t want to use silicone-based lubricants with your silicone toys, because they can cause them to slowly disintegrate.

Glycerin is a sugary sweet compound used in many products, but people often prefer to use glycerin-free lubricants, as glycerin has been linked to causing yeast infections and others may be allergic to glycerin.
